Weather Icons: Icon-font with 92 weather themed icons.

Author’s note: It’s been 2 years since this post, and Weather Icons is a full fledge project now. Version 2.0 was put out August 2015, so be sure to see the latest version of 222 amazing icons at

Tonight I pushed out my soft-early-tentative-secret-beta release of the project I’ve been working on for the last 6 weeks or so: Weather Icons: Icon-font with 92 weather themed icons, ready to be dropped in to Bootstrap and used right away!

The project is 100% inspired by Font Awesome and Bootstrap. I found the set of icons drawn by Lukas Bischoff, and with his permission turned them into a usable, unicode friendly webfont that functions in almost the exact same way as Font Awesome. All you need to do is download the zip or clone the repository, drop it into your bootstrap project, and it’s ready to use.

As this is my first icon-font, and also my first bootstrap drop-in, there will be things to fix and add and change, but perfect is the enemy of good and after 6 weeks, it was time to put this out.

Download it here right now and give it a try! Weather Icons: Icon-font with 92 weather themed icons.

And in case I wasn’t clear – I give a huge thanks and credit to Lukas, the Font Awesome team, and the Bootstrap team. There would be no point to this without them.
